Frank Wasser | Kunsthalle Wien

Performance

On Sunday 21st of June at Kunsthalle Wien Karlsplatz Frank Wasser presented a new performance that employs aspects of method acting to question the construction of national identity, whilst critically engaging with stereotypes of Irish culture and his own entanglement with them.

The performance was part of 'PW LIVE: In Living Daylight', a day of performance curated by PW Magazine running from 11:00-21:00 with Frank Wasser's performance between 13:00-14:00.

The summer solstice on 21st June marks not only the start of summer in the northern Hemisphere, but also the longest - and therefore brightest - day of the year. Throughout 'PW LIVE: In living daylight', a programme of performances lasting several hours, unfolded as the light changes. From morning until early evening, gestures, texts and sounds by Vienna-based artists of different generations took shape between Karlsplatz and Museumsquartier.
