We are pleased to be exhibiting in the Neumarkt section of Art Cologne for the first time with a solo presentation by Vika Prokopaviciute. Prokopaviciute's artistic practice is characterized by questions of structure, construction, and visual cognition, treating painting not as a static object but as an open-ended process of inquiry. In this sense, painting becomes a site where perception itself is interrogated, foregrounding the instability of visual knowledge with works that oscillate between optical illusion and physical materiality. Rather than treating painting as a stable representational surface, Prokopaviciute understands it as an epistemological field-a site in which visual knowledge is produced through processes of uncertainty, repetition, and transformation.
